"A sound mind in a sound body.":

Syedna Aali Qadr Mufaddal Saifuddin TUS in his Waaz Mubarak during Ashara Mubaraka quoted:
"A sound mind in a sound body."
The aim of fitness should be able to perform ibaadat properly till the last breath and as per Maula TUS's Khushi Mubarak.
To understand the importance of physical and mental health Ms. Sarrah Saify, a student of Al Jamea tus Saifiyah, conducted a workshop in MSB Educational Institute Nagpur, to explain the skills needed for swimming, archery, horseback riding and how to incorporate these skills in daily life.
Skills and various components of fitness were discussed including physical, psychological, emotional and social development.
- Swimming presents an environment in which students learn to overcome fears, such as fear of bodily harm, fear of failure, and fear of pushing one’s body beyond its capacity. Therefore, completing the swimming requirement builds courage and develops resilience in students.
- Archery compels an inner struggle with the self to reach one’s target, despite distractions and preoccupations. Therefore, to be successful in archery, students must demonstrate temperance, calmness of mind, accuracy which leads to inner stillness and sharp focus.
- Horseback riding presents the challenge of working with another living being that has its own will and intelligence. Therefore, horsebackriding teaches students how to maintain neuromotor fitness like balance, agility, coordination, gait.
